Kiev received a year of prison for psychological violence over his mother

A 32-year-old resident of Kiev received a year of imprisonment for systematic psychological violence against his 52-year-old mother.

As reported The press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, Kiev systematically matched and humiliated the mother with whom he lived in a one -room apartment. He also constantly demanded her money.

IN sentence Several such situations are described – they all happened from September 2022 to October 2024. In each case, the abuser was drunk.

As a result of prolonged psychological violence, psychological problems arose in the mother of a man.

”Currently, the victim shows signs of mixed anxiety-depressive reaction. Her mental disorder (…) within the adaptation disorder is associated with domestic violence« , – the sentence says.

The prosecutor's office add that earlier the man was already prosecuted 12 times for administrative responsibility for committing domestic violence (Art. 173-2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

In addition, in 2022 he was tried for storing drugs (Part 1 of Article 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The man committed domestic violence against his mother during the trial.

At the hearing, the accused pleaded guilty.

The Obolon District Court of Kyiv found him guilty of domestic violence and appointed him a year and one month of imprisonment.
