Kiev announces exchange of prisoners with Moscow to « The Next Week »

Ukraine today announced that the exchange of prisoners and bodies of soldiers killed in the conflict with Russia « will start next week. »

« The beginning of repatriation operations, based on the results of Istanbul’s negotiations, is scheduled for next week. (…) Everything is running as planned, » said the chief of the Ukrainian military intelligence, again accusing Moscow of « unfair information games. »

Kyrylo Boudanov accused the Russian capital of deflecting the plan agreed in Istanbul to change the bodies of the dead soldiers, stating that the process was scheduled to start next week and not this weekend, as Russia claims.

« The beginning of repatriation measures based on the results of negotiations in Istanbul is scheduled for next week, as reported to persons authorized on Tuesday, » said the Coordination Center for the treatment of prisoners of war on Telegram.

In the statement, the institution also reported that Russia is trying to exert « media pressure » and « dictate unilaterally the parameters of the process of exchange », describing as « cynical » the « attempts of Russian propagandists to speculate on human suffering. »
