Undisputed and indisputable leader of Moroccan artists, Khalil El-Ghrib is undoubtedly also one of the largest visual artists in the world. His artistic approach, based on a solid plastic, literary and philosophical culture, testifies to a deep reflection on the relationship of art to life, death and time that passes. His works, although of extreme sobriety, challenge at first glance and intrigue at the highest point, both initiates and neophytes. I will always remember the reaction of this Moroccan high school student, without any plastic culture, who suddenly arrested before a work of Khalil exhibited in Al-Maqam (Tahennaoute, Marrakech region), intrigued and perplexed.
