Kazabalkan won three awards at a festival in Serbia

The theater play « Kazabalkan » by Goran Stefanovski, directed by Damjan Kostovski, participated in the International Theater Festival « Art Lama Fest » in Ruma, Serbia, and was awarded three awards.
– We have received three « Golden Mask » awards – for a partnership, for the best leading female role for actress Mirjana Trpkovska Kostovska for the image of Zora and the best drama text, which is posthumously awarded to Goran Stefanovski for the text « Kazabalkan – says Damjan.

The creative team of the play is composed of Damjan Kostovski – directed, Ekaterina Nikolovska – producer, Bojan Filipovski – composer and Ekaterina Dobrivojevska – stage designer.
– The expert jury of Art Luma Fest was composed of Zijah Sokolovic – a drama artist from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Ana Bateva – director from Sofia, Bulgaria, – adds Kostovski.
The play was premiered on November 19, 2024 at « Cafe and Film Kotour », where it is currently on the regular repertoire. The play deals with the common man, who is not on the thin line between life and death. This play in a witty way opens the dark sides of human destiny and the consequences of the war. « Kazabalkan » is a drama work written in 1997 by Macedonian playwright Goran Stefanovski. SJ
