The city leadership invited the music school to move to the premises, which is now occupied by the 6th school. According to Mayor Katri Raik, this building can be renovated so that it meets the tasks of conducting specialized classes. At the moment, there is no exact plan, but by June 17 they promise that officials will be able to present it to all the city’s residents interested in this matter. It is planned that the meeting with the townspeople will be held in the town hall. “There is a music school and a choir school, we plan to unite them,” commented Katri Raik.
The fact that there is an intention to transfer a music school from the center to a more distant area of the city became known in April. Deputy Yana Kondrashova said that negotiations are underway with the leadership of the school and preparing a plan for the reconstruction of the building of the 6th school. Katri Raik then said that she would certainly hold a public discussion of this issue at the end of May. But then the date of the meeting with the public was postponed to June 17, so that the discussion was held first with the trusteeship of the muscle. It is scheduled for June 6th.
The local Facebook group “My Narva” conducted a survey among the townspeople about how they see the fate of the music school. More than three hundred Narvityans took part in it. Basically, they, 64% of respondents, spoke out for the construction of a new modern building in the city center. The comments expressed arguments that in the building with the modern environment it is more interesting and pleasant to study that teachers from other regions of Estonia will want to go to such a school or to teach graduates of the music school who received the appropriate further education.
The question of moving the Myzika school on her Facebook page was raised by the public figure of the city Elena Pazilina. In addition to discussing the building itself, they also appeared in the comments on the post of regret on the salary of teachers. According to some participants, it does not correspond to the current economic realities and is low for a large number of contact watches of teachers, which means that you should not wait for young talented teachers in the team.
Local deputies sent a list of questions about how the city plans to develop a music school to the mayor. Among them: “Is the opinion of students in the design of the environment taken into account?”, “Why is the construction of a new building not considered?”, “Is the project support from the state possible?” The mayor must provide the deputies for the next session of the City Board in June.
According to Katri Raik, the leader Tatyana Goncharova supports the initiative to move the music school to the building, which will be renovated. Raik noted that Goncharova expresses an opinion from the entire team, but, of course, there may be those who do not agree. “We will discuss,” the mayor summed up.
The conversations that the music school can move to Krenholmi Street is concerned about the teachers and parents of the students of the 6th school. Its director Alexander Openko does not comment on the situation with the move, because he did not receive any official information from the city hall and, therefore, to talk about something early.
So far, according to the mayor, it is preliminarily discussed that if the move is confirmed, then the students and the staff of the 6th school can temporarily, before the start of the new school (it will unite according to the 6th plans, Pui and the Pyakklmye school-ed.), To conduct the educational process at the school. But at present, in terms of technical condition, the school is significantly inferior to the 6th school.
