Katie Perry: Back to Earth after leisure flight in space
A group of six women, among them singer Katie Perry and his partner Jeff BezosLori Sanchez, enjoyed a few minutes of gravity lack of gravity on a Blue Origin rocket flight, the Amazon’s space company.
The 18 -meter New Shepard rocket launched Texas from the base of the company and reached the « Carman Line », the official space limit of 100 kilometers.
The rocket developed speed three times the sound before releasing the capsule at a high height and returned to the point where it started.

It was the first space flight with an exclusively female crew since 1963, when the wise cosmonaist Valentina Tereskofa, the first woman in space, launched a solo mission.
Katie Perry was heard singing as the capsule fell to the ground. After the landing he knelt down and kissed the soil.
Loren Sanchez had come out of the capsule first. « I looked out the window and I could see the Moon, » he said.
« The earth seemed so quiet. Quiet but truly alive, ”he said.
Together with Perry and Sanchez, journalist Gail King, NASA scientist Aisa Bow, film producer Kerian Flynn and biodegradation researcher Amanda Ngaean, traveled.

This is not the first time Blue Origin has launched celebrities: On New Shepard’s first flight in 2021, Jeff Bezos and Mark’s brother were passengers.
Former NFL player Michael Strahan and Star Trek actor William Satner followed on subsequent flights, who became the oldest man in space at the age of 90.

« This kind of missions can act as a trick of public relations that attracts the private funds needed to reduce costs, » commented Ehud Bahar, a professor of astrophysics at the Israeli Technology Institute of Technology.
