Kartheiser: « Europeans block the peace process in Ukraine »

While other parties are talking about the immminent danger that is going on by Russia and how Europe has to upgrade massively in order to be defensive, the ADR seems to want to concentrate all of its political strength on the retirement debate. More than half of the 15-minute speech by party president Alexandra Schoos at the party congress in Clerf consisted of listing the demands of the ADR to the pension system individually in front of around 150 party supporters.

Internally, the party has dealt intensively on the topic. For the ADR, the pension topic belongs to your DNA, say isolated ADR politicians at the congress-it was central to cutting a good figure.

However, Schoos says less about the war in Ukraine. Only, the ADR would « not deviate a millimeter » from its position. Say: « Protect human life, prevent an escalation and to maintain the Ukrainian territories as much as possible, » said Schoos.

Ukraine: Not a “war of aggression”, but a “deputy war”

Kartheiser complained that Europe did not follow the American path in the Ukraine question. The United States would no longer speak of a « war of attack in Russia » under Trump, but of a « deputy war between the United States and Russia ». That would not want to do this in the Trump administration and continue to speak of a war of attack. Kartheiser considers the term to be « propaganda » and a language of the bid administration.

Even worse: « Europe blocks the peace process in Ukraine. » While the United States and Russia agreed on a ceasefire in the Black Sea this week, the Europeans have already announced that Putin’s conditions of Russian President Putin have not agreed. He asked for a relaxation of the sanctions against Russia.

Keup: ADR is « an enemy image » for Greens and Socialists

What the ADR have taken from the new US administration is the criticism of the US Vice President JD Vance to Europe. At the Munich Security Conference, he had warned against stamping certain opinions as « disinformation ».

The ADR MP Fred Keup criticized the other Chamber parties of Luxembourg, who are committed to regulating social media. Such parties are not about democracy, but about maintaining power « . They would only « protect their world view » by « censoring social media ».

Keup is also bothered by how the ADR is shown by other political forces – and thus indirectly reacted to the criticism of the other parties in the ADR after their way of dealing with the cause.

The MP had liked a Facebook comment who called on « destroying » « LGBTQ ». The party leadership reacted with sanctions and a written warning against Weidig – but the party did not know which « measures » were taken against the MP.

The other Chamber parties had found hard words for the ADR when the Like became known. « If it is about the other parties, there are 150 extremists here in this room – the worst of the worst! » Keup ironically launched at the congress. Because among other things, Greens and socialists have « no program, they simply do something against the right ».
