But Egypt is not covered by the White House’s ban on entry. This applies instead to Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Congo-Brazzaville, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen and Haiti. In addition, some restrictions are introduced for citizens from another seven countries, including Cuba and Venezuela.
Some of the countries were on the Black List, when Trump tried to push through an entry ban on certain Muslim countries as newly -appointed president in January 2017. A number of states have been added and some states have been removed. Religious affiliation no longer constitutes the common denominator. Instead, the White House refers wider to terrorist threats, threats to the security of the kingdom and other security risks in the United States. In some cases, problems are mentioned in obtaining reliable documents. In other cases, migrants are generally accused of abusing their visas.
It is clear that Trump’s United States is not a sanctuary for people on the run. And that he wants to be known as the president who limits mobility.

Political instability, violence and food shortages risk being strengthened by a single severe storm. Haiti is already in an emergency and may suffer a famine disaster.
