Karate coach, arrested. Would have raped a minor student

A karate coach from Râmnicu Vâlcea was arrested preventively after raping one of the minor students, informs the representatives of the County Police Inspectorate (IPJ) Vâlcea.

According to the quoted source, the one who noticed the authorities was the young woman, who stated that the 53 -year -old man, taking advantage of the authority, would have maintained, for about three years, several times sexual relations with her.

‘The complaint was formulated by a 17-year minor, from the municipality of Râmnicu Vâlcea, who claimed that, during the period 2021-2024, he would have been the victim of the rape crime from the man concerned, during a sports training activity for a longer period of time. Following the investigations, it was established that the man in question, taking advantage of the authority exercised in this way by his minor student, as well as his impossibility to express his will and to give a valid agreement, while he was with this within the radius of Râmnicu Vâlcea, he would have maintained more sexual relations.

The man was detained on Thursday, based on the evidence administered, and on Friday was presented to the judge of rights and freedoms within the Râmnicu Vâlcea Court, who admitted the proposal of the Vâlceni prosecutors and decided to continue his investigation in a preventive arrest, for rape committed on a minor, in continuous form.
