Kaja will play, Veronika and Tamara do not
Tennis player Kaja Juvan After a one -year absence, she returned to tennis courts, and will also perform for our women's selected species in the first Euro -African Billie Cup Tournament, Jean King, from 8 to 12 April in Vilnius. Slovenian jersey will be worn in Lithuania Pia Lovric (470), Živa Falkner (490), Ela Nala Milić (936) and Alja Senica (1188).
Juvanova ranks 845 in the WTA rankings, but can play in a higher level tournaments due to protected ranking after more than one -year absence. “I am glad to play again and that I will represent Slovenia again. It has always been an honor to play for the national team, I look forward to the competition. We understand ourselves with girls and I believe that a nice week is waiting for us, « said the 24-year-old.
The latter has returned to the WTA tour in recent weeks and played two highest tournaments. After successful qualifications in Austin, she then dropped out in the first round of the main part of the draw, and lost in the second round in Indian Wells.
Most national teams, including Kaja, will also play in two upcoming WTT tournaments in Slovenia. First, there is a tournament, organized by Branik Maribor together with the Tennis Federation, and immediately afterwards a tournament in Murska Sobota.
