The new stadium is adorned by an impressive graffiti depicting the Greek superstar of NBA, Yiannis Antetokounbos. Indeed, the « Greek Freak », who is the worldwide ambassador of Betano, Kaizen Gaming’s international online gaming brand, was in Rio de Janeiro yesterday to operate the new stadium with the CEO of the Greek company.
The stadium is located at Claudio Coutinho Square, in the Leblon district of Rio de Janeiro, and was fully renovated to offer a modern and safe open sports space for the local community. The artwork with Yiannis Antetokounbos, who dominates all over the court, has been curated by Brazilian street artist « Neto 78«
During the inauguration, Yiannis Antetokounbos symbolically signed the stadium, revealed a commemorative plaque and in the end he did what he knows how to do better: he played basketball. « My story is closely linked to open courts. That’s where my love for basketball was born. I wish the stadium we are launching today with Kaizen Gaming being full every day and highlighting new talents in the sport »said Milwaukee Bucks. It is worth noting that both Yannis Antetokounbos’ mother, Veronica, and his brothers, Thanassis, Costas and Alex, were found at the inauguration of the court, who also played on the pitch.
