The program includes two historical dramas and one of the latest Norwegian films from Riga IFF Collections.
Wednesday, May 14, at 6:30 pm will be on view of director Harald’s weight 2017 Historical Drama 12. The film tells the story of the legendary rescue of the Norwegian war hero Jan Balrud from the Nazis during World War II. The action takes place in 1943 in northern Norway. The twelve resistance movement of members in the fishing boat carries a freight with explosives to combat the enemy. However, they are handed over by a compatriot and eleven men are captured, tortured and killed. But the twelfth man manages to escape. Jan Balrud escapes in cruel winter conditions, unaware that his unstoppable determination to survive will make him a symbol of the Norwegian resistance movement.
