JVLMM will host the 60th anniversary concert / day of conductor Andris Veismanis
Riga Chamber Choir will perform at the solemn concert Ave Sol, But Andris Veismanis’ former and current choir conducting students will come to the conductor’s desk.
Students of Andris Veismanis have chosen to conduct a less frequently played chorus work in Latvia, celebrating the professor’s anniversary with new and lesser -known choirs, offering an exciting journey through the creators of different countries and era. The music of Latvian composers Eric Eschenwald, Arthur Muscat and Andris Dzenītis will be performed, as well as works by foreign authors.
Looking at Andris Veismanis’ rich opera music experience, the concert will also feature Jacomo Puccini Lyrical Aria Oh! Mio Babbino Caro from one -act Jeanne Skiki, Special Klit Gotwald Choir.
Professor Laura Leontjeva, a student of a special musical surprise, prepared a special musical surprise for the anniversary, who created a new composition – a tribute to her teacher.
The concert will also feature music from different nations and cultures – Ukrainian and Japanese folk songs, played by Veisman’s students Shin Yamasaki and Sergius Zadorozhniy. Latin will be heard by the tadsey vulcas Sine sole nihil sum, Olivier Messian O Sacrum Convivium! and Georgian composer Vahtanga Kahidzes Magis Amica Veritas. From the Latvian Choral Music Classics, the audience will enjoy the composition of Adolf Skulte Quietly listen or Good heart, as well as the emotional composition of Arthur Muscat Gold. The anniversary itself will also be inexpensive, in which he led the Riga Chamber Choir Ave Sol The outstanding pianist Agnese Egliņa will join, playing Johann Strauss’ legendary Vienna Waltz At the beautiful blue Danube.
The concert will be attended by students of Andris Veismanis who continue his traditions and bring their nuances to the conduct of conducting – Kaspars Ādamsons, Marika Austruma, Jacob Bernat, Jurģis Cabulis, Matīss Pēteris Circenis, Anastasia Kildisha, Anastasia Kildisha, Laura Leontjeva, Marta Ozola, Evita Taranda, Evita Taranda Sergius Zadorozhny (Ukraine). They have all ever mastered conducting skills under Andris Veismanis and will honor their teacher tonight.
