Jurists, actors and journalists sign against the imputation of the State Attorney General | Spain
The association defends in Law on February 20, a collection of signatures in solidarity with Álvaro García Ortiz, the first state attorney general of the State to whom A case has been opened in the Supreme Court In democracy. More than 9,000 signatures
Since its launch, the Manifesto has received the support of 9,020 signatories, which have endorsed the text both On the Change.org platform – Where they have already paralyzed the collection of names – as on their website, where the possibility of registering is still open. The text has received the support of 146 members of the Judiciary among which is Joaquín Giménez, emeritus magistrate of the Supreme Court, who calls this manifesto as « necessary » and indicates that « there are times when it is not enough to understand some situations, but that you have to commit. » He considers that the opening of the case against the attorney general, « respecting the solution », was « a total nonsense », that the processing suffers from disproportion « and where there is disproportion, there is no justice, » he says.
