June m / workshop will be announced by jazz / day at the beginning of summer

« Jazz It is not only the most important event in the work of the Jazz Department of JVLMA – it is an opportunity for young musicians to show themselves to a wide audience, collaborate and establish new contacts with students from the Academy of Arts and the Academy of Culture, and creatively express themselves in a professional situation. But most importantly – Jazz It is possible to see and hear the future of Latvian jazz, as these young musicians will soon be the avant -garde of our jazz, ”says Indrikis Veitner, head of the department.

Three -evening jazz, pop and academic music talents will step on the stage. The concerts will be attended by vocalists, instrumentalists and ensembles, playing original works and arrangements of different genres.

June 3 (Tuesday) from 18.00 to 22.00. The evening is dedicated to soloists’ performances in different compositions. Vocalists Sanya Rose, Agnese Berzkalne, Ardis Avotiņš, Ana Bambuleac, Anna and Esere Ozolina, Milija Volka, etc., together with talented drummer, bassists, guitarists, pianists and wind instrumentalists.

June 4 (Wednesday) from 18.00 to 22.00. The stage is overwhelmed by instrumentalists, ensembles and soloists – especially drummers Tate Graber, Andris Žabris, Nicholas Mūrnieks and Oscar Nejs, as well as vocalist Laura Sviks, Madara Dzene and Marta Monta Dazzina. The program is also enriched by orchestra tools – violin, clarinet, trumpet and saxophone.

June 5 (Thursday) 17.30 to 21.30. Jazz The closing will be held on the 1st, 2nd, 2nd and 3rd jazz course Combo that will execute the original works and arrangements

This year Jazz Tops in cooperation with all three universities of art and culture – the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music (JVLMA), the Latvian Academy of Arts (LAA) and the Latvian Academy of Culture (LKA). In cooperation with the Cathedral of the LAA Graphic Design, a competition was organized to vote for 2025 Jazz poster design. The winner of the competition and the poster author is Dārta Katrīna Brinkmane. The festival’s organization and communication processes are implemented by LKA students Amanda Estere Krage and Anete Katrīna Breiks in close cooperation with the students of JVLMA.
