« Jufkas guesthouse » in Debar, another inspiring example of rural development
The « Jeffers of Jeffreies » in Debar, which initially began as a small family venture for the production of famous Dibra Jeffers, has today become a guesthouse for the reception of tourists.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared on social media the inspiring example of this guesthouse, frequented by local and foreign tourists.
« » Jeffrey’s guesthouse « in Debar is another inspirational example of rural development, where tradition, hospitality and love for the country and nature are harmonized to create a unique experience for local and foreign visitors, » Rama writes.
In the video released by Rama, the Lady of Kingina said that « this agrotourism was born as an idea of raising the family income as much as possible and adding an attraction for Dibra and our country. This is a family business, where we, my husband and children, serve more traditional Dibra cooking, tourists are very pleased with our dishes. »
She said that « Our guesthouse is known for its traditional dishes, jufkat and trahana, and many other products we produce from our farm, but also from collaboration with farmers in the area where we get milk, eggs, flour, wheat, fruits and vegetables. »
« We also have the hotel where tourists spend the night in the fresh air and a beautiful landscape, » she added, calling on young people to return to their country to invest as much as possible.
The transformation of rural areas into attractive landscapes has prompted the creation of agrotourisms as a new model of rural development in Albania.
