Journey of perfume in the cloud of fragrance / day

Is the nose tired? Well, it is thoroughly. So that you do not want to shake even delicious Italian food in the evening. So that at least a few more days the desire to feel the scent is gone and does not want to return.

Admittedly, I had never thought about such a matter, until last week in Milan I got to get rid of one of the most prestigious perfumer gathering events Esxence. « To get rid » is the most accurate sign, as the scent world has so far had a rather neutral relationship. As countless other people, I have gone through the cloud of scent at airports and shopping centers in perfumery stores, without really going into the nuances, buying a scent vial from time to time to spray yourself richly on special days. That's it.

I am definitely not the right person who will detail the nuances of perfume and the jasmine play with vanilla or nutmeg, but the curiosity of the journalist in combination with the endless twists and turns created two long days to spend two days in the Milan Conference Center Allianz mico. From February 19 to 22, the Perfumery Festival took place for the 15th time – an ambitious, gorgeous show where perfume masters try to surprise visitors with unique scent combinations and unseen bottle designs. And, of course, in a variety of ways, they compete for the attention of distributors, influencers and buyers.

Thousands of fragrances

And here I am – in a huge conference room, where nearly four hundred brands are close to each other. As usual, the largest manufacturers have installed more prominent stands closer to the entrance, the smallest on the sidelines, but are trying to stand out with attractive arrangements or activities. Each participant has at least 5 to 10 different vials, while others even dozens, so without exaggeration one could say that Esxence At least a couple of thousand different scents could be shaken if it was powerful at all.
