Journalistic Spectacle in Zagreb: Journalists from all over Europe come to the Voices Festival
The second European Festival of Journalism and Media Literacy – Voices Festival – begins today in Zagreb, at the Museum of Contemporary Art and will last until 1.3. See the program HERE.
Organized by the consortium of European vocational and academic organizations and sponsored by the European Commission, interested will witness a rich, contemporary and relevant program that encompasses key topics such as artificial intelligence in journalism, disinformation, journalists' security, challenges in media economic models, media literacy, the integrity of election, the European legislation, digital environment.
After a successful first edition in Florence in 2024, which brought together more than 1300 participants, the Voices Festival continues its mission to connect citizens, journalists and media professionals across Europe. For three days, participants have the opportunity to participate in panels, discussions, interactive workshops, exhibitions, the theater play and network events.

Colleagues photographers Louise Herrche Serup and Sarah Hartvigsen Juncker from Denmark will present You Still Don't Know My Name, a research project documenting a sex worker in Denmark. During the project, they visited the brothels and interviewed and photographed the women who work there. The exhibition consists of a large number of portraits and a picture of the place where women work together with quotations and testimonies. Colleagues will be available for leadership through the exhibition during the two days of the festival.
Barbara Matejcic will present his award -winning project 'Cause Death: The Border'. Participants will listen to the exciting radio documentary together that recounts the deep human stories of individuals whose lives have tragically ended up on migrant routes.
Numerous representatives of the Croatian media, media experts, and media experts from all over Europe will be attended by the festival and will open up a series of discussions on the state and pressures of journalists in this area, and a special place is a journalism student who will be a panel guests, present their work and moderate some of the conversations. Students of media literacy, teachers and high school students will also participate in the festival.
