Joe Rogan supported Trump’s election campaign – now he criticizes the president

On American Election Day in October last year, the world’s largest podcast, Joe Rogan, came out with supporting Donald Trump’s candidacy. Just over a week earlier, the current president had participated in a three -hour interview in the pod « The Joe Rogan Experience ».

The interview has been described as a strategic trait that probably helped Donald Trump being able to reach more young men. Through the pod’s huge reach, Joe Rogan has become an influential voice in American politics.

But on 29 March he criticized the Trump administration after a Andy José Hernández Romero, makeup choir and hairdresser, deported to El Salvador. He calls it « terribly » in his podcast, writes The Guardian.

Andy José Hernández Romero sought asylum in the United States because of his sexual orientation. The make -up choir says he is gay and risks being persecuted because of his sexuality in his home country Venezuela. But tattoos in his face caused the US authorities to believe that he belongs to the criminal network Tren de Aragua – something Hernández Romero himself denies.

In the pod section, Joe Rogan calls it terrible that « people who are not criminals are caught with Lasso and deported ».

– It is completely crazy that it could be possible, he says.

The podcasts adds that he supports the expulsion of gang members but that the United States « should not allow innocent gay hairdressers to be lumped together with the gang ».

The Guardian writes that the statement stands out because other conservative profiles have been careful about criticizing Donald Trump. At the same time, the podcast is still sending out conservative and right -wing radical messages. In recently released sections, he has claimed that those who demonstrate for Palestine or against Tesla have been paid to protest.

But deportation believes Rogan can lead to worse opinion figures for Donald Trump.

« If you want to have compassionate people with you, you can’t deport gay hairdressers who are looking for asylum – it’s absolutely fucking crazy – and then throw them in a prison in El Salvador, » he said.
