Jan Eklund: « The traitors » in TV4 was the best program of spring

Sara Skyttedal unexpectedly fell on the finish line in the spring season of « traitors » on TV4. She was clearly the best player of the year, but also the last traitor who remained during the final evening. No easy match then – and the faithful took home the game.

Comedian Kaeli Abdi and artist Samir Badran were allowed to share the prize pool. Samir would go all the way no one had believed. He had constant psychic disorders and spread accusations like a spinning sprinkler. Only Hollywood wife Maria Montazami could compete with him.

The « traitors » are fun, exciting and educational TV for the whole family. A psychological game that challenges the contestants and gives viewers some insights about the human psyche and the power of mass.

Nothing is so painful to Witness as when groups on unclear grounds turn to innocent individuals. And it happens all the time. The best players lurk in the reeds and control with invisible hand over the group. Not quite unlike really ugly political fish.

Experience from the world of politics is certainly an advantage in the « traitors ». Thomas Bodström ruled and set calm godfather-authority in last year’s program series.

It is probably not so much about the art of lying as having experience of hard pressure and tough negotiations. A smart politician must both keep track of their opponents and check the opinion in their own ranks. Knives in the back occur. It knows about any former KD-Sara.

The « traitors » is a variant of the game « Mafia ». The organizational psychologist Jonas Mosskin wrote in SvD (12/6) that he learned a lot from playing « mafia ». He emphasized that stressed groups are at risk of making stupid decisions. Therefore, the traitors’ best tactics are to create split and chaos. Who can you really trust?

Even P1 morning Noticed the « traitors » during the final day. A sign of the program’s broad impact. I am already longing for the next season. But then the 20 participants should be selected with greater care. There were too many pale types in this year’s series.
