In 2010, Els Clottemans was sentenced to thirty years in prison for the murder of her girlfriend and love rivale Els van Doren, in 2006. She would then have sabotaged the parachute of the woman, so that Van Doren fell into the Limburg Opglabbeek. Over the years, Clottemans has always continued to deny that she has deliberately cut the cords.
