Jak / Day joins the Latvian hockey team training

Last season, Jack, along with Robert Mamchitz, represented Karlov Vary « Energie » in the Czech Extraliga, who lost in the quarterfinals in the playoffs.

Yak has scored 24 (10+14) points in 50 regular championship games this season, while in 11 play-offs scored two goals and three assists. He has previously represented the Latvian team in seven World Championships.

In the first two test games, Latvian hockey players beat Austria, but last week in Riga played two matches against Finland, winning a 3: 2 win in one game and losing 1: 4 in the other.

In the follow -up to the preparatory phase, the Latvian team in the Xiaomi Arena will also host the Swiss team, but will meet the Norwegian team in early May.

The 2025 World Championship in May will take place in Stockholm, where the Latvian team will also play, and in the Denmark city of Herning.
