« It’s all somehow calming down »

Today, groups from the Landsbjörg Accident Protection Agency were called out to assist farmers in the North of Iceland in sheltering sheep and assisting travelers who had problems.

« It’s all somehow calming down, » says Jón Þór Viglundsson, Landsbjörg’s information officer. He believes that the ski valley is completed, but there, rescue forces had to assist farmers in sheltering their money due to heavy snowfall and windy weather that was in the north and east of the country at night and day.

« Groups were sent out to Flateyjardalur and Fjords just to see if anyone was there. The landowner had had some traffic there for the weekend so it was just being checked if some travelers were in trouble out of the move, » but Jón Thor has not heard the results of their observations yet.

« Hopefully this just picks up quickly »

Jon Thor says much more is happening at the moment and it was not as much to do as expected based on the forecast.

« This seems to have gone better. Not quite as much snow maybe, even though it has been quite a bit there. Hopefully this just takes up quickly, especially the mugs because of, » says Jón Thor.
