Italian Oscar of the 2025 cycle tourism: the prize

The Green Road Award is awarded every year to the green cyclovies candidate by the regions that are committed to promote slow tourism and the holidays on two wheels, for which the prize is an important recognition of the efforts made to design and enhance the best paths and itineraries and encourage healthier travel methods, respectful of the environment and the beauties of the territory.

In this tenth edition, the jury – made up of prominent personalities in the world of journalism and bike, environment, hospitality and tourism sectors – had to choose between almost 30 proposals, from the north to the south of the peninsula, presented by regions, territories and autonomous provinces (each region could present up to two applications).

The prizes were awarded to the cycle paths that obtained the highest score based on different parameters in question, including design, construction, promotion, equipment, signs, green services and more.

Italian Oscar of the 2025 cycle tourism: news and special mentions

In addition to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize, the list of winners continues with several special mentions And a novelty.

There is the mention Alis Logistics Association of sustainable intermodality, the special mention of the press, by the journalists present in the jury, the Mention Legambiente. And then the Oscar for the best foreign bike friendly destination that was assigned for 2025 to Slovenia.

Finally, to celebrate its tenth edition and together celebrating the year of the Jubilee, the cycle tourism Oscar has also provided for a special prize for a pathwhich can be traveled by bicycle. This was won by the Umbria Region for The way of Francesco.
