Italian Cultural Week, Ermal Meta Concert on the Butrint Theater scene
The ancient scene of the Butrint Theater welcomed yesterday the extraordinary performance of the singer of Albanian origin and a successful career in Italy, Ermal Meta.
The concert, which took place in the framework of the Italian Cultural Week, marked the launch of its « Live 2025 » tournament.
Attending this special evening were important representatives from Albania and Italy, among them: Italian Ambassador to Tirana Marco Alberti, Director of Italian Institute of Culture Alessandro Ruggera and Deputy Minister of Albanian Culture Pipa alongside a large number of spectators who had filled the ancient theater stairs.
“We are happy to be in Butrint for the Ermal Meta concert, organized by the Italian Institute of Culture and the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation. It is important to be here because Butrint is an Albanian jewel, discovered by the Italian Ugolini 100 years ago. With a singer telling the story of a friendship between our peoples, ”said the Italian ambassador.

The most important event of the Italian Cultural Week organized by us, the Italian Embassy, the Ministry of Culture and we have decided to bring an artist who is a symbol of unification between Italy and Albania that he is an artist who has grown culturally in Italy, among the Italian institute.

Accompanied by pianist Davide Antonio Pio, Meta’s close co -compatriot and associate, as well as an elegant arc instrumental trio, Ermal Meta performed some of his most beloved songs, as well as new creations from the next album.

« For me it was the first time I was in Butrint and this is a magical theater. We tried to bring a concert that would be in tune with this environment. I had a lot of emotions that it is the first tournament concert in the homeland, » Meta said.
