« It will be liquid gold that falls out of the air »: finally rain in sight, but will it be enough?
« Between Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon, a rain zone travels from West to East about our country and that will be the first rain of significance, » says Weerman Frank Deboosere. « It is possible that the days before here or there will be a shower, but that is only very locally. An old, faithful rain zone, one as we have not seen them for a long time, that is for the weekend. It will be liquid gold that falls out of the air. For once there are many people being satisfied that they get a bit of rustling a bit. »
Those much needed rain zones come with a southwest wind blown into our country, he explains. « In the past two and a half months we have mainly had wind from the east and the north, but we have barely seen the southwest winds that normally occur most last spring. And it is those winds that the rain zones bring again this weekend. »
But will that rain also be enough? Deboosere doubts it. « From the beginning of next week, it will be slightly changeable again, with a few outs, » he says. « But at the beginning of June it might be that it gets warmer and dry again. What will fall in rain will probably not be enough. »
In the run -up to the weekend we will already see more clouds, but the temperature will also fall sensitively. « Tomorrow, and certainly Thursday and Friday, the maximum temperatures will only go up to 15 degrees. On Friday it could even be a little fresher. And we are no longer really normal, » Deboosere warns. « During the weekend the Maxima climb towards 19 degrees. »

On Friday it is first cloudy. Afterwards the clouds increases and it becomes heavily cloudy, except in the far west of the country where it stays sunnier. Some local showers are possible. The maxima fluctuate between 10 degrees on the Ardennes heights and 15 degrees in Flanders.
On Saturday the clouds will increase in the morning and it will be heavily cloudy. In the afternoon and evening the chance of precipitation increases in the west and the center of the country. The maxima fluctuate between 15 and 20 degrees.
