It was the tracking dog who found the body of the murdered Maja in the thickets
Let us remind you that the disappearance of Maja was reported in the evening of April 23. The teenager left the house, informing about a short meeting with a friend. She was to return to a few or thirty minutes, depending on the course of the conversation. Unfortunately, Maja did not return home.
The search was conducted for over a week. Her family believed that the 16-year-old would find herself and healthy, emphasizing that she had never disappeared without a trace or turned off the phone before.
A dog trained to search for human corpses
Only after a week there was a breakthrough in the search. Maja’s body was found on May 1 in the bushes, in a place that was previously checked by the services. A tracking dog also worked on site. So why was a teenager found so late? As « Fakt » found out, the body was found when a dog specialized in searching for the smell of human corpses entered the action.
– The body was found outside, not in the building. It was in the bushes near the railway track area – the sub -inspector tells us Katarzyna Kucharska, spokeswoman for the Provincial Police Headquarters based in Radom.

Her colleague, with whom she met after leaving the house, is suspected of murdering Maja. He was detained in Greece, where he went to school a few days ago. He was detained on the basis of an international arrest warrant. At the moment he is in Greek custody, waiting for extradition to Poland.
The Polish prosecutor’s office intends to accuse him of murder with particular cruelty. Monitoring recordings turned out to be crucial for the matter. At this moment, the motive of the crime has not yet been established. We only know that Bartosz G. has known his victim for several years.
According to information provided by the spokesman for the prosecutor’s office in Płock, the girl’s death probably occurred as a result of numerous head injuries, and the perpetrator deliberately hid the corpse. The autopsy has been scheduled for next week.
