BRATISLAVA. Without Fujara and without a new version. At Wednesday’s opening match of the European Championships under 21, which hosts Slovakia, the Slovak national anthem from 1992 was heard.

The new anthery anthem from musician Oskar Rózsa has not played at significant events yet. The work was delivered to the order of the Ministry of Culture and cost a total of EUR 46 500.

The new version of the anthem did not disappear even after the victories of the Slovak team at the World Hockey World Championships in May or at the awarding of state awards he first awarded President Peter Pellegrini 11. January.

The new version is only recommended so far

The new regulation of the national anthem is recommended as the official national anthem of the Slovak Republic in accordance with the Ministry of the Interior. It can be played at all official events of state administration, territorial self -government, school facilities, sports grounds, cultural facilities, international events.

However, no modification is the only binding and different versions can be used. The Ministry of Culture responded at the end of Decemberthat after 1 January it will be possible to use older adjustments of the national anthem. « The new version will be gradually introduced, and the exact time horizon is not determined. It is estimated that it will be within three to four months, » the resort said on its website.

« The new version of the state anthem is recommended as the official national anthem. The use of another version will not be penalized, » the ministry said last December.

Thus, it remains on the organizers what version of the anthem they choose, they are guided by guidelines. « I see no reason to comment on this topic in any way, » said Juraj Čurný, a spokesman for the Slovak Football Association, to the question of why the new version of the anthem does not sound at the current ongoing championships.
