« It was a cry for help » after all
Sarah grew up in the countryside on Falster, where she rode on her own horse and played music.
Her mother worked as a stewardess and her father had a restaurant and an older Porsche – and in the eyes of the child they were a pretty « cool » parent couple.
But reality was also characterized by absence.
Parents’ crooked working hours meant she was often alone. And that loneliness sat down in her.

« I also started to be very self-destructive. So I started at a very young age with smoking cannabis and experimenting with drugs, and somehow found healing my feelings, » says the TV host.
She describes how the destructive choices did not occur due to bad conditions in the home – but rather because of an inner pain she did not know how to handle.
A cries for help
Sarah became part of a girl and boy community that was characterized by violence, shoplifting and confrontations.
The TV host revealed that she has been both shoplifters and threatened other people.
However, she admits that most of it was in her mouth when she was not the biggest girl physically.
« I couldn’t really beat. But I wasn’t afraid of the confrontations and I was very damn in violence. But it was a cry for help, » she admits.
A turning point came when Sarah came to Efterskole in Langeland after 8th grade. It happened with the help of a caseworker and the stay became crucial for her to start finding a foothold.
Later in life, she was given an ADHD diagnosis that sheds light on her behavior as a young man.
Today Sarah is a well -known and well -liked face, but it’s not a matter of course. She explains that the smile she carries today is a result of hard work and a decision to never return to the dark.
