These Danes benefit from it
With a new collaboration with NaboGo, Billund Municipality for the next two years provides a financial subsidy for trips that start or end within the municipal boundary.
It informs Billund Municipality in one press release.
Billund Municipality has just entered into a two -year collaboration with the interconnection app NaboGo, which will contribute to increasing citizens’ mobility and at the same time make a positive difference to the climate.
This is explained by Simon Nicolajsen Jørgensen, who is chairman of the Technology, Planning and Culture Committee in Billund Municipality.
« We want to create more mobility in our rural areas, where it is difficult to get a classic collective transport offer to meet the citizens’ different needs for transport during the day and evening. By rewarding motorists to bring passengers in the car, we hope to make it easier to live in the municipality without having to have more cars per household, » says Simon Nicolajsen Jørgensen.
Organized interconnection rather than friend services
The interconnection service NaboGo works by creating as a driver to create your drive in the app, where passengers can also search for a car to drive in.
This means that it becomes easier and more accessible respectively to offer and get a lift eg to and from work. Instead of interconnection only between neighbors, friends or colleagues who already know each other.
Committee chairman Simon Nicolajsen Jørgensen hopes that citizens will take up NaboGo – even if it can be difficult to change ingrown habits around transport.
« Transport is a habit for many of us, but with NaboGo we get an opportunity to fill the cars and drive more together, while having a positive impact on both the purse and the climate. I hope that many would like to try the app and help promote the interconnection of our municipality, » Simon Nicolajsen Jørgensen said.
NaboGo has several years of experience in promoting interconnection in Denmark, and users’ feedback is positive, says Anders Muusmann, director of NaboGo.
« There is no requirement that you necessarily have to converse or entertain each other. Users say that it is not awkward, you just have to try interconnection once or two. In a large study among our active users, we see that several things are driving the positive development. We asked for motivations, and here the top three of the passengers are that it is cheap, fast and climate -friendly. They want to help, ”explains Anders Muusmann.

“We have already set up many meeting places in Billund Municipality where it is safe for cars to keep in and pick up passengers. It is important that the meeting places are easily accessible to cars that drive through the municipality across. It should be easy to keep in without having to drive a detour. adds more meeting places according to input from the local users, ”says Heidi Jacobsen, Event Manager at NaboGo.
