Fans of « Musical Mask » are sure that the thirteenth season of this musical show is sitting at the table and one of the radio guy – P. Vaitiekūnas. Together with Mantas Bruz, he hosts « Weather Boys » inspired by Manto’s work on LNK television.

« Since I only worked on the radio, I always wanted to try something I hadn’t tried yet – I did everything – until then, I was conducting events and online shows, and I spoke on the radio, but I hadn’t seen television yet.

Until then, he was not the most loyal viewer of this show, but he knew what was going on in it because he watched the performances of several friends.

If the producers had invited the show, they would certainly not have gone because they could not sing and became a member of the commission without much kicks. « I wouldn’t want to do anything else in this project, just to be in the commission, » he said.

What would the evil tongues say that the Musical Mask Commission has no commission members with a musical education? Paul does not choose words and invites all musical commentators to his place. « Come and show your musical talents. We’ll see what you are capable. If you seriously, the ‘musical mask’ is not just music, so you don’t have to be a composer to see if the show was good or not. The rating consists of many details: participant energy, artistry, charisma, etc. musicality – only one of them, ”the judge believes.

When asked what kind of music he listens to in his spare time, Paul claims that it is very diverse. The old good Lithuanian stage is mentioned, from which the Rondo, Hyperbole, Žemaitukai.

Are you not afraid that the listeners who hear it will accuse him of bias: after all, Ovidijus Petrauskas, a member of Samogitian – is already in the finals!

« Mom was threatened that Ovidija could not give less than ten points, » laughs Paul and does not give his favorites. He was very pleasantly surprised by the actors Pius and Kaspar, whom he did not know before the project. It is a pity that Adrina, Anatolian, lacked a few points before the finals.

The show remains yourself

Although the word « mask » in the name of the musical TV show, Paul says that before sitting at the desk of the judges, no face or heart is covered. « Whoever knows me knows that I am more or less in life that I see in the show. Maybe sometimes I could put on a milder commentator’s mask and express less criticism, » says P. Vaitiekūnas.

Paul realizes that everyone comes to filming, but as three shows are filmed in a couple of days and each participant has to embody three performers, time is often missing.

When asked about the basic evaluation criteria that he follows, the guy confesses that he is neither a musician nor an actor, so the person on stage must convince him. « Either I believe in the incarnation or not. If not, I start hanging out to everything – I say there was a lack of that or that … »

Sometimes, when viewed, the « musical mask » gives the impression that the members of the commission do not play too much criticism, but … with praise and even compete with each other, which will be more beautiful, witty. After hearing such a note, Paul refuses that he never can start a comment from bad things. First you have to be happy about what was good. « It’s always more fun for me to rejoice than to criticize, » he says. « I always think that everything will be fine. After all, sooner or later everything is fine! »

Does one of the judges do homework before going to the show – look at the performers that the participants have to embody? It turns out that Paul is very much helped by work at the M-1 radio station. Because the weather boys not only talk, they also offer listeners a wide range of music, most songs and performers Paul are well aware. All you have to do is see how the stars look or move on stage. « There are ten performances in one show, and two or three of them have to look at the visual part of one or the other.

« Musical Mask » is not just music, so you don’t have to be a composer to see if the show was good or not.

Do not believe in superstitions and horoscopes

As the LNK show « Musical Mask » counts the thirteenth season, I ask if Paul is not afraid of this number.

According to the interlocutor, he does not believe in horoscopes or superstitions and sees no reason this cool project could stop. « What about me, it’s … all the numbers are happy for me. I would boldly fly on a scheduled trip on Friday, on the thirteenth day, and even sit in the thirteenth place in the airplane. » He smiles. « 

The biggest challenge lies not in numbers but in words. When several shows are filmed in a row and the commission needs to find wise words to evaluate the performers, and then all the difficulty is to sweat. « Beautiful things are told by colleagues on the artistic point of view, and leave me a funny part, » smiles a member of the jury, who likes to speak impromptu and not prepared in advance. If a white leaf in front of the eyes (it happens too), then speaks briefly, says it supports colleagues.

Asked to move to Northern Lithuania, Paul takes his head to his childhood house in Joniškis district. Do you remember a mask made by moms? « Vajausu … » – theatrically pronounced and redesign the question to his mom. After a few minutes, he adds that he really has made a Mardi Gras mask from newspapers, but does not remember.

Got from mom to bart

Looking out the window, the weather boy predicts that this summer will be especially good, because, after all, see what sunny and warm Easter was! « I went to Easter to my village – the trees in Vilnius were still bald. I came back and I can’t believe – everything seems green! It seems as if I had returned after half a year, » said P. Vaitiekūnas.

Do a person’s comfortable radio and events feel on television? In Paul’s words, it is not bad: the team is pleasant, the work atmosphere is great. If, at the end of the « Musical Mask » season, someone would like his work style, the guy would be of interest to the entertainment shows. He admits to being a big fan of the Šeškinė 20 show, would like to conduct an interactive game that can make a lot of joke.

What does Sunday evenings do when LNK television invites fans to « Musical Mask » screens? Of course, sitting on the couch and watching the « mask ». Because the whole Vaitiekūnai family also watches this show. He even writes the top three and watches how Paul will appreciate it.

« Usually I don’t really remember what I was talking about, it is very interesting to hear my comments on TV, » laughs the event host, who calls himself a very critical person. After watching the show, then he was still considering what he had to say and where he would have bite his tongue better.

Instead, family members are much more lenient, except for one time when they got from their mom. For what? « For the gift. I gave Erika Jennings the best performers at once.

Mom was also impressed with the fact that her son publicly agreed to make a tattoo in the radio studio, unknowingly, neither where nor where the body was located, as the radio listeners decided. « I’m a very weighing person anyway in my life – neither an extreme nor an adventurer. I don’t even know how that tattoos came out here. Fortunately, it all ended well – in Lithuania’s tricolor on the upper arm.

If a Wild West Indian would like to tattoo his totem, Paul would choose a lion because he was born in August, so the lion, says, would be the most accurate version.

Rejoices in connection with homemade

Paul confesses that he was a mother’s child for life and Sister Laura was a dad. Both parents have been awarded with the love and attention of their parents, so they sincerely communicate with them to date. « When I celebrated my birthday in the summer, my parents were among all my friends. Naturally, they are my friends, » Paul admits to me, who calls my mother briefly or at least write a message to her.

He also has warm words to his older sister Laura, with whom he had not only joyful moments but also anger. Now Laura’s opinion is very important to him, so it is with his sister, not anyone who is with anyone else, and he talks about the new twists and turns of his career. « My parents now are for joy, and I am concerned with my worries. Therefore, if I need advice, I turn to my sister for a lot of different things, » says the guest of the TV Day, adding that black and Laura have been pampered with love with Laura in love, not things. Maybe he didn’t have everything he wanted, but had everything he needed. « We have always been told: You have finished school and go to fulfill your dreams, pursue your goals – do not stay in the countryside, but you will always be welcome here on weekends, » says P. Vaitiekūnas.

Who knows me, knows that I am more or less about what I see in the show. Maybe sometimes I could put on a milder commentator mask.

The groom of dreams?!

When he heard a fellow Indrė Kavaliauskaitė, Paulius confessed that this comparison had received a great deal of resonance in social media. The guy was hampered by the epithet of the coolest egg, which his friends first responded to. « These words were dedicated to my sense of humor, » Paul said.

As the popular radio and event host has not yet led, the internet users stuck to his dream groom’s label. When asked what she thinks about it, Paul does not give up what brides is looking for, but then with a smile calls the main criterion: « It is desirable that her parents have a company, and as big as possible! »

It turns out that not only the internet users, but also the parents themselves press the guy, and the son refuses to them, « Can’t I go through the flats and do a survey that would like to marry me?! »

When proposing to take advantage of the Indian tradition, the bride’s bride is chosen by parents, Paul shakes his head and promises to deal with this task himself. « Now I am alone, independent of anything, which helps a lot of work. I believe that when the time comes – a person will come, » he optimistically concludes the topic of marriage, adding that no one is perfect, so the future friend of life, when time comes, is not perfection.

As long as they are not, they are not going to set up a four -legged friend, as there will be no time to guide him. « Better a cat is better, » says Paul and calls his family cats.

On the first Sunday of May, Mother’s Day, Paul invites you not to miss the « Musical Mask » final and promises many surprises. One of them is the duo of Paul and the musical show, Arn Ashmon. What he will show – you will see soon.

What plans do you have for this popular project? Private events, corporate celebrations, « Other Talks » will lose their job without work. « I’m not the person who is very suggesting. Let’s say I am invited.

The greatest joy is when you have a day or two free. Then a lot of sleep. Because there is nothing more meaningful than quality sleep. Still like to meet friends in cafes.

How do you travel, rest by Lithuania’s beloved Baltic Sea? « All my summer is planned with minutes. There are only two weekends I hold on, and I don’t know if I will keep it, » he laughs.

Paul has a message to all participants of the Musical Mask. « You have already won! Just because you come here. To whom the viewers will put on the winner’s crown – it doesn’t matter.
