Public broadcasting identified applicants for the post of chairman of the board for the next four years. Six candidates were admitted to the competition, including the incumbent head of the broadcasket Mykola Chernotytsky and the Excellence of Culture Oleksandr Tkachenko.

Details: On April 1, the Supervisory Board of Public Broadcasting completed the preparatory stage of competitive selection for the post of chairman of the board. As a result, all six applicants were admitted to the first stage:

- Volodymyr Gorkovenko, a former journalist who was responsible for the mediaprams in the Presidential Administration of Poroshenko;
- Oleksandr Tkachenko, Excellence in Culture and Information Policy, former leader of 1+1, exnardep from the party « Servant of the People »;
- Mykola Fayengold, Head of Paytv & Digital StarLightMedia;
- Oleksandr Harebin, expirer of the CEO of NTCU, former member of the Supervisory Board « Vetek Media » owned by the oligarch Kurchenko;
- Mykola Chernotytsky, the current chairman of the board of the public since 2021.
- Yuriy Yurchenko, founder of MTM TV channel in Zaporozhye.
It is noted that the decisions were made on the basis of the recommendations of the Committee on Appointments and Rewards of Officials, who conducted a preliminary analysis of the submitted documents for compliance with the requirements of the Regulations on the election of the chairman and members of the Board.
The next stage of competitive selection involves the study and discussion of the documents submitted. After that, the Supervisory Board will decide which of the candidates will be admitted to the stage of listening to development programs.
