‘Israel wants to occupy 75 percent of Gaza within two months’

The approximately 2 million inhabitants of the Gaza Strip will have to withdraw to three small areas: a new ‘safer’ area in Al-Mawasi, a strip of land in Deir Al-Balah and Nuseirat in Central Gaza and the center of Gaza City. Together, those areas make up only 25 percent of the Gaza Strip.

On March 18, Israel resumed the attacks on Gaza after two months of ceasefires. Since then, the Israeli army has used tens of thousands of soldiers in the Gaza Strip and announced a large -scale new offensive if Hamas does not release the remaining hostages.

According to the military guidance, the focus of Israel is no longer on the elimination of as many Hamas terrorists as possible, but especially on taking the area and destroying the infrastructure of Hamas, such as the extensive tunnel network.
