Israel. Plan to intensify war against Hamas in Gaza

Israeli ministers agreed to intensify the war against Hamas in Gaza. A plan that includes gain more territory at the besieged Palestinian enclave and summon tens of thousands of reserve soldiers.

The plan, on Monday, revealed a country’s authority, will be gradual and can mark a significant escalation in the fighting in Gaza, which resumed in mid-March, after Israel and Hamas could not agree on the possible extension of eight-week truce.

The Associated Press (AP) Agency clarifies that the authority spoke on condition of anonymity, in accordance with the regulations.

On Sunday, the head of the Military Staff of Israel, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, had already said that the army was convening tens of thousands of reserve soldiers.

Eyal Zamir said that Israel “operating in additional areas” in Gaza and would continue to attack military infrastructure.

Israel already controls about half of Gaza’s territory, including an area along the Israeli border, as well as three runners that extend from east to west along the track.

This scenario concentrates many Palestinians to increasingly smaller bands of land in the devastated territory.

Israel has been increasing the pressure on the Hamas militant group, encouraging to demonstrate more flexibility in negotiations.
