Israel invited numerous reserves due to the extension of the offensive in Gaza
The Israeli army continued daily air attacks from March 18, and then the land operations in Gaza’s belt, ending a two -month truce caused by an unprecedented attack by Palestinian Islamist Hamas Movement on South Israel on October 7, 2023.
On Saturday, eleven Palestinians, including three young children, were killed in an Israeli attack in Kan Junis, south of the besieged and destroyed Palestinian territory, according to a report of local civil protection.
In recent days, the Israeli army has started sending orders to reserves, planning to invite tens of thousands of them in preparation for expanding their offensive against Hamas, several Israeli media reported.
According to this information provided by several military correspondents, including one from military radio, these reservists will have to replace recruits or active soldiers across the country, as well as on the occupied west coast, so that they can be sent to the battle in Gaza.
Asked by AFP, the military spokesman neither confirmed nor denied this information. AFP journalists have already received their mobilization order.
The Benjamin Netanyahu government is constantly claiming that military pressure is the only way Hamas is forced to release the hostages taken during October 7, in which 1218 Israelites were killed, most of the civilians, according to AFP, referring to official data.
Of the 251 people abducted that day, 58 were still detained in Gaza, including 34 that the Israeli army was declared dead.
In retaliation, Israel vowed to destroy Hamas, who took power in Gaza in 2007, and launched a large air campaign and a land offensive in which at least 52,495 people were killed in Palestinian territory, mostly civilians, according to the Hamas Ministry of Health, which the UN considers reliable.
