Israel calls Hamas to accept the US Proposal of Participation: ‘Either that or will be deleted forever’
On Friday, Israel invited the Palestinian Islamic Hamas Movement to accept the US Proposal of Participation in Gaza and hostage release or will be « deleted ».
Israel faces growing international pressure regarding the Gaza’s waist and humanitarian situation in the Palestinian territory, where a blockade that lasts more than two months, partially mitigated last week, led to serious food shortages, drugs and other basic supplies.
The Israeli army has recently intensified military operations in Gaza with the aim of taking control of the entire Palestinian territory and the liberation of the remaining hostages still held there.
On Friday night, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that the army continued its operations with « full power » while « evacuating the locals from every combat zone. »
« The Hamas killers will now have to choose: to accept the conditions of ‘Witkoff’s’ for’ to release hostages – or be deleted, » Katz said, referring to the proposal of the American envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff.
On Thursday night, spokeswoman for the White House of Karolina Leavitt announced that Israel had approved a new US proposal for interrupting fire, but did not officially respond.
A little later, Basem Naim, one of the exiled leaders of Hamas, told AFP that the proposal does not meet the requirements of the movement, because « in essence means continuing occupation, continuation of murders and hunger. »
According to a source close to Hamas, the movement condemns the lack of guarantees regarding the continuation of the interview during the ceasefire, with the aim of achieving a permanent interruption of the fire.
However, on Friday, Hamas indicated that he was « consulting with Palestinian forces and fractions » in connection with the proposal « that Witkoff conveyed through intermediaries. »
Responding to Hamas’s position, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who has been opposed to every compromise since the beginning of the war, called on the Government on Friday to use all the necessary force « to eliminate Hamas.
