The broadband pool opened June 10 and consists of two schemes. One for individual addresses and then the ordinary scheme where several households in an area must join forces on a joint project and seek support.

DKK 50 million has been allocated to the broadband pool in 2025, of which about DKK 20 million is earmarked for the special scheme for individual addresses.

In order to be eligible, today you must only have access to internet speeds of less than 100 Mbit/s download via fixed broadband and less than 600 Mbit/s via mobile broadband today. Also, one’s address must not be in urban zones (however, addresses in smaller villages with fewer than 2,000 inhabitants can search the pool).

Fiber networks are based on lighting cables and can handle endless amounts of data with the speed of light, making the connection stable and lightning fast – even if the whole family is on at the same time.
