In Denmark, knives and sting weapons are regulated through both the gun laws and Knife Law.
It is forbidden to carry or store knives in public places without a recognizable purpose, and this also applies in cars that are on public roads or space.
However, all folding knives with a leaf under 7 centimeters are legal. If you have a larger knife, you risk being punished.
Even ordinary kitchen or hobby knives can be illegal if you do not have a good reason to transport them.
What can it cost?

As a starting point, it costs you a fine of 10,000 kroner – even if this is the first time you are taken.
The second time you as a starting point in prison for seven days, which is why it is important to have your clean if you have to carry knives.
