Is this a Prime Minister’s model?
In a recent media statement, DP campaign spokesman Andi Mustafaj expressed his concern and indignation about Prime Minister Edi Rama’s unacceptable and inappropriate comments, made during a government organized with students. « Prime Minister Edi Rama not only used an extremely inappropriate and vulgar language, but went so far as to say to the children: ‘You have it on Google if you were curious, write there Edi Rama, how you saw you. »Mustafaj said.
DP campaign spokesman Andi Mustafaj:
In a recent public outing, which took place as part of a government organized event with students, Prime Minister Edi Rama not only used extremely inappropriate and vulgar languages, but went so far as to say to the children: ‘You have it on Google, write there Edi Rama, comes out there. How much have you seen ‘.
All this under the smile approval of the Speaker of Parliament, who is a mother himself. This statement not only raises serious questions about the judgment of a government leader, but is a direct attack on the moral foundations of Albanian society and a disregard for the innocence and dignity of our children.
Even more alarming is that principals and teachers were forced to attend the event. This was not an educational or cultural activity, but a staged measure of the election campaign, in which state institutions were instrumentalized and children were politically abused. A prime minister who is not afraid to appear in a school setting with such filthy signs and self -exalting comments cannot be considered a moral or political authority. What does this say about a leader when he makes his nudity the subject of conversation with children?
We seek firmly:
• A public apology from the prime minister against students, parents and teachers involved;
• An immediate investigation by independent bodies about the circumstances of this event;
• clear boundaries between politics and education to protect our children;
• Respect for dignity, courtesy and a sense of responsibility in political communication.
Albania needs models quite opposite from what the prime minister promotes. Albania needs education, not political indoctrination. And above all: Albania must protect its children from these violations of borders.
