Is the real expectation of students that elections will be announced by mid-May? – Politics

After more than half a year of active demonstrations and blockade of the University, by setting requests for announcing extraordinary parliamentary choirs, came to political articulation of protests. Student requirements, although there are many disagreements around them in public discourse, starting with their clearance, which of them are fulfilled, contain clear political consequences, and it is an indisputable fact.

Students now expect choices to be announced in mid-May, and if such an outcome comes, they announce radicalization of their actions.

Although the argument of President Vučić that the election will be recorded in the field in question, because the election of elections actually commits a president to the constitution, remains a question of how much it is to expect this student in blockages to be met.

By fencing from the political aspect of these demonstrations of their start and removal of the opposition, the students brought a lot of sympathies. The support of the opposition did not lose, however, it is questionable whether the request for the notification of election is realizable than for example requests for the formation of the expert government, which students did not accept.

According to our interlocutors, in the interest of the authorities, the election is disposed of, but also emphasize the importance of unification of the opposition, students and civil society in order to increase this pressure to power.

Radomir Lazović, the co-advantor of the green-left front says to be the opinion that « Vučić runs away from the choice as much as she can », because they do not answer at this point.

– Support to SNS, which will make President Vučić to procrastinate, to make people tired, and all the time is to divide among dissatisfied citizens, adding our interlocutor, to be useful and fencing students from activist Organization, civil society organization, political parties, on what the SNS builds new hate narratives with the aim of not coming to the association of all healthy forces.

Lazovic points out that the student’s assessment is necessary to get the choices as good as possible, and that it can only be achieved, and that it will depend on whether we will be able to force the ruling set to actually poison them.

– We can expect full support for this request, and we also present a plan to implement the election, and it must also be thought of what is actually expected, and that is to run from the Ownf co-advantage.

It is important to note, our interlocutor points out, and that despite the research shows that SNS decreases support, it does not mean that things are finished.

– That would be a big trap. In particular, keeping in mind that the SNS holds a corrupt apparatus completely in its hands, which stole previous elections. The protests woke up citizens, drove the fear, but the institutional changes and the SNS was missing their votes again, adding that it was also an open issue for students who were looking for election despite the very poor election conditions.

Pavle Grbović, leader of the movement of free citizens, says that elections are unlikely to be held in June, because it would mean that in the next four days and the President of the Government, they take the necessary steps, not even thinking in that direction. He adds that the election during July and August have never been held and the question was whether it would be smart at all.

– I don’t know what the plan of the student movement in that case is, but we will certainly be ready to help the extent we can. What we can do safely together, is to deal with those election, were those in autumn or winter, we welcome in the better circumstances. The procedure for selecting a new composition of the REM, merit the first organization of civil society in cooperation with the opposition prevented by the previous illegal process, and later students who have put pressure to start with a new procedure.

Grbovic underlines that it doesn’t matter how the choice will be completed and who will be elected and remains in belief that there is plenty of room for progress in this field. He also points out that he believes that some kind of international control of the election process would be extremely important.

The common impact of civil society that has expertise in this area, students who have the most political legitimacy and opposition that has formal identification and developed institutional contacts can really achieve this, explain the leader of the PSG.

Our interlocutor says it is clear that the regime will play for the deterrent, but that it can only be waited for that, that there is not a focus point, but that there is a focus point in order to increase the chances of victory.

– At this point, it can definitely be supported by opposition lists in Zajecar and Kosjeric, as good results in these places could give additional energy to this fight – Krbović concludes.

Director of the Center for Local Self-Government, Nikola Jovanović, says that parliamentary elections, only « one man » will depend, and to know his method of work, as to later, in order for the election as follows, in order to make the parliamentary opposition as long as possible.
