Iranians said they would not give up the nuclear program. Waiting for the reaction of Trump and Americans
Iranian Foreign Minister Abas Arakci said on Saturday that if the goal of the United States was deprived of Iran of his « nuclear rights », Tehran will never give up on them.
Arakči spoke in Doha the day before the new circle of planned nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States in Oman.
« If the goal of negotiations is deprived of nuclear rights, I make it clear that Iran will not give up any of his rights, » the state media reported Arakchi’s words.
Iran allegedly said that his right to enrich Uranium was not a matter of negotiations and excluded the US request on « zero enrichment. »
But the special envoy of US President Donald Trump, Steve Witkoff, said in an interview on Friday that the Iranian « enrichment facilities must be dismantled » under any agreement with the USA.
Trump, who withdrew Washington from the Teheran and World Forces Agreement of 2015, which aimed to suppress the country’s nuclear activity, threatened by bombing Iran if a new agreement was not reached to be resolved by a long -term unresolved disgust.
Western countries say that the Iranian nuclear program, which has accelerated Tehran after being withdrawn from the agreement, focused on the production of weapons, while Iran insists that the program is exclusively for civilian purposes.
« In his indirect negotiations with the US, Iran emphasizes his right to nuclear energy for peaceful purposes and clearly states that he has no intention of developing a nuclear weapon, » Arakci said.
« Iran continues to negotiate in good faith, and if the goal of these negotiations is to ensure the inability to acquire nuclear weapons, the agreement is possible. But if the goal is to limit Iran’s nuclear rights, Iran will never give up its rights. »
