Iranian rocket attacks on Israel: Eight dead, over 100 injured

Iran last night launched a new wave of rocket attacks on Israel, which, according to Israeli media, killed at least eight people and injured more than 100.

The attacks came after the Israeli military confirmed that it had struck Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, while the Iranian oil ministry said it had been hit by a Shran oil warehouse in Tehran.

Israeli Emergency Service Magen David Adom (MDA) has confirmed that four people were killed in Bat Yam, south of Tel Aviv: a woman in the 1960s, a woman in the 1980s, a boy of about 10 years old and a girl, probably in the same attack. In Tamra, north of Israel, local sources said four women from the same family were killed in one of the attacks.

MDA reported 140 injured, some of which are in serious condition, noting that the numbers may change with new data arrival.

The target of the attacks were parts of the central part of Israel, including the area around Tel Aviv, where a residential building was directly affected in BAT Yam.

Iranian President Massoud Pezeszian has warned that Tehran’s response will be « even harder and stronger » if Israel does not withdraw. So far, the death toll and injured has not been officially confirmed by the Israeli authorities.
