Iran strengthens underground nuclear objects as the negotiations with the United States continue
Iran builds a large perimeter of security about two deeply dug tunnel complexes, connected to its main nuclear facility, against the backdrop of US and Israeli attack threats, Reuters reported, citing a report by the Institute of Science and International Security, made on the basis of new satellite photos.
This information was published during the preparation for the third round of negotiations between Washington and Tehran this weekend for the Iranian nuclear program.
US President Donald Trump, who has drawn the United States from the 2015 Iranian nuclear program, has threatened to bomb Iran if a quick agreement is not reached.
The withdrawal of the United States allowed Tehran to violate many of the restrictions set out in the agreement.
Western powers suspect that Iran is trying to produce a nuclear weapon that Tehran denies.

The head of the Institute David Albright said the new perimeter probably shows that the tunnel complex, which has been built under the Kya Gas La peak for several years, can soon be put into operation.
Tehran does not allow inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAE) at the UN at the site, Albright noted.
This raised fears that Tehran can use it to stor the high -grade uranium or for unannounced nuclear materials and modern centrifuges that can quickly enrich uranium sufficiently to make a bomb, he added.
Iran said it would assemble modern centrifuges in one of the complexes instead of the facility in the nearby factory in Nathanz – the central object of its nuclear program, destroyed by sabotage in 2020.
The complexes are built at a much greater depth than the deep-stuck in the ground facility to enrich uranium in Fordo.
Photos captured by civil satellites on March 29 show the strengthening of the entrances to the complexes, the construction of high panel walls along an asphalt road surrounding the mountain peak, and excavations for mounting more panels, the report said.
The northern wall of the perimeter is joined with the fence of the plant in Nathanz.
Continuing construction of the complexes seems to show that Tehran’s demands, who claims to have the right to develop a nuclear peace program, have been rejected during negotiations with the United States.
Israel did not rule out a blow against Tehran’s nuclear sites in the coming months, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the negotiations should lead to a complete abandonment of Iran from his nuclear program.
The head of the Iranian atomic Energy Organization Mohammad Eslam in response to fears about the vulnerability of the country’s nuclear program yesterday hinted at the projects, including the construction of the new perimeter of security around the tunnel complexes, noted Reuters.
« Efforts to expand the precautionary measures around nuclear facilities are ongoing, » Eslam said, quoted by Iranian state media.
