Iran launches fifth wave of air strikes on Israel, announces US bases in the Middle East

Iran has launched a fifth wave of air strikes on Israel – Iranian news agency IRNA reported.

The targets of the attack are locations in Tiberias, the occupied Golan Heights and Lower Galilee. In these areas an air strike alert has been issued and strong explosions are heard.

Attacks in Tel Aviv and Jewish settlements on the West Bank have also been reported.

The Israeli army has confirmed the new Iranian air strike and said the population was ordered to go to shelters.

The Israeli Air Force also said they had destroyed « dozens of rockets » fired from Iran.

According to the Iranian news agency Fars and senior military sources, attacks on Israel will continue, and Tehran’s targets will also include US military bases in the Middle East.

– This confrontation will not end with the limited actions of last night and the Iranian attacks will continue. These actions will be very painful and unfortunately – with severe consequences for aggressors. The war that the Zionist regime began with aggression will spread in the coming days in all territories occupied by this regime and US bases in the region, and the aggressor will become the target of a decisive and major blow by Iran – the Iranian military said.

Meanwhile, the Iranian Foreign Ministry has said that « no decision has been made » to cancel the next round of talks on the country’s nuclear program with the United States, but the presence of an Iranian official is « not sure ». The meeting is scheduled for tomorrow in Oman.
