Iran: Dead from the Israeli attack Three of the country’s strongest men
Three strong Iran men lost their lives in the attack which launched Israel on Friday (13/6).
As it became known, the Supreme Military Officer of Iran, the head of the Selected Corps of Revolution Guards and a former head of national security.
Iran’s Hossein Salami Lieutenant
As the head of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), Lieutenant General Hossein Salami, he was one of the most powerful men in Iran, overseeing the most powerful military arm and accountable directly to Supreme Leader Ayatollah, Ali Khamenei.
Born in 1960, Salami was head of IRGC.
From this position he was the head of one of the most powerful « tools » used by the Iranian state, which has made a decisive contribution to the overthrow of disagreements and the projection of Iran’s power abroad, reports the CNN.

Analysts say IRGC funds and supports a huge network of militias throughout the area, which is using to hit US and other military personnel throughout the Middle East.
Salami was at the IRGC steering wheel when Iran fired hundreds of unmanned aircraft and missiles in Israel in April and October last year, in Iran’s first immediate Israeli territory.
Salami was headed when IRGC shot down a Ukrainian passenger aircraft shortly after taking off from Tehran International Airport, killing all 176 occupants.
CNN security analyst Beth Sanner said the removal of Salami is like getting out of the middle of the US Army General Staff.
Lieutenant General Mohammad Bagheri
Since 2016 Mohammad Bagheri has been head of the Iran Armed Forces Staff, which, according to IISS estimates, have over 500,000 active executives.
The General Staff is « the highest military body in Iran, which implements politics and monitors and coordinates activities within the Armed Forces », according to a US Treasury document that determines sanctions against Bagheri in 2019.
Bagheri have imposed sanctions along with nine others « who have been oppressing the Iranian people for decades, exporting terrorism and promote destabilizing policies around the world, » the document said.

Photos published by Iran’s Tasnim news agency showed him allegedly meeting Iranian troops fighting on the ground with government forces in Syria in 2017.
In April Bagheri met with Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid Bin Salman Al Saud in Tehran, on a rare visit to Saudi Vasilikos to the Islamic Republic.
The following month, Reuters said that during the meeting, the Saudi defense minister had warned Bagheri: to take seriously the offer of President Donald Trump negotiating a nuclear deal because he is presenting a way to avoid the risk.
Ali Shamkhani
Ali Shamkhani was a close associate of Iran Ayatollah’s top leader, Ali Khamenei, and represented Tehran in talks that sealed a landmark agreement to restore diplomatic relations with enemy Saudi Arabia.
According to CNN, Iranian state television network Irinn confirmed his death after Israel’s unprecedented blows on Friday.
Shamkhani has served as a top national security official in the country for a decade since 2013, and before serving in various important roles, including in the Islamic Revolution Guards (IRGC) and the Ministry of Defense.

Shamkhani represented Iran in talks with China’s mediation with Saudi officials who led the two countries to agree to restore diplomatic relations after years of hostility.
But was replaced suddenly in mid -2023.
The former head of national security was ambitious, experts say, and had an extensive portfolio. He applied for president in 2001 to occupy key positions in IRGC and the Ministry of Defense.
He remained a close associate of the top leader and gave advice as Iran returned to nuclear talks with US President Donald Trump’s government.
In April, a few days before talks with the US, he warned that Tehran could deport the UN nuclear inspectors and cut off cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) if it felt that he was threatened.
