IPhone and other Apple devices receive a radical change

Apple is preparing for the biggest redesign of its operating systems in recent years-and that is exactly the announcement expected at the opening of this year’s VVDC event, which begins on June 9 at Apple Park. According to Bloomberg, not only one or two new features come, but a complete « review » of the entire software line – including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Vision Pro and Apple TV. The big news will be unifying software numbering. All Apple operating systems should carry a number that corresponds to the year of the big update. In this way, Apple wants to make it easier for users and developers, but also to show that future updates will arrive more often.

As for the design itself, the main update with an internal codename Solarium introduces a lightweight and transparent interface inspired by the aesthetics of the Vision Pro device. All versions of the interface will be similar to each other so that the user experience will be consistent regardless of the device used. However, this time the focus will not be on generative artificial intelligence, but of practical improvements. For example, it will provide easy sharing of WiFs between devices – which can be especially useful when signing in to hotels or drills. The Vision pro gets control of the interface at a glance, while iPad gets new productivity tools that will bring it closer to McC.

News are also expected in the Helt application, support for calligraphic writing with Apple Pennsyl, as well as a live translation function via the Earpod headphones. However, the most important innovation could be the new technology for managing artificial intelligence, which could significantly extend the battery life of all devices. Especially important feature of Apple’s thinnest phone that has not yet been unveiled. The public beta version of the new operating systems is expected in July, while the official launch, as usual, is scheduled for September-when we see the iPhone 17 series.
