Investigation Against a Skopje man who hit a 10-year-old girl at a pedestrian crossing in Cair
The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office Skopje has launched an investigation against a 33-year-old Skopje resident who hit a 10-year-old girl crossing the pedestrian crossing with a motorcycle on John Kennedy Street.
According to the BPPO statement, there is a reasonable suspicion of committing – heavy acts against the safety of the people and the property in the traffic under Article 300 paragraph 1 in connection with Article 297 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code, which on April 25 as a traffic participant did not adhere to the regulations and thus endangered the public.
– After the right -wing lane of John Kennedy Street, he was driving a « Piaggio Beverly » motorcycle with Skopje license plates without a protective helmet and without having a driver’s license from the « A » category for that type of motorcycle. When he came to the entrance to the Vasil Glavinov Elementary School, he did not pay attention to pedestrians who began to walk and who was obliged to miss. With the front right of the motorcycle hit the body of the damaged 10-year-old girl who crossed the pedestrian crossing road. The girl suffered a severe bodily injury – a fracture – the statement said.
In order to secure the suspect during the proceedings, the BPPO states that the public prosecutor has proposed to be given precautionary measures, and the court accepted the proposal and determined the measures.
