International Music Academy of Anargiriou and Korgialenio School of Spetses (MAAKS) – Master Classes 2025
The International Music Academy of Anargiriou and Korgialenio School of Spetses (MAAKS) returns dynamically for Fifth consecutive year With the established Master Classes, which will take place this year from July 24 to August 2, 2025 at the Historical Facilities Anargiriou and Korgialene School on the island of Spetses (AKSS).
The International Music Academy continues its dynamic presence this year as an International Music Education Center, offering students and young professional musicians the opportunity to attend Master Classes From internationally renowned artists, to actively participate in concerts and experience the magnificent atmosphere of the island.
OR Music Academy started in 2021in the midst of a pandemic, offering participants a unique opportunity to enrich their knowledge through teaching of renowned teachers. From 2021 until today, More than 200 participants They have participated in the seminars, while sets such as Camerata and the Athens State Orchestra have partnered on their side. In the last two years, the students themselves have been forming an orchestra, which is presented at the end of the seminars, offering a dynamic and collective result.
Participants will have the opportunity to attend Master Classes and to join the Room orchestra of the Academy, under the direction of internationally renowned maestro and pianist Sunday Kountouri. At the same time they will take place MAster CLasses by distinguished teachers of leading European music institutions such as, for voice under the Marcin Habelafor viola under Przemyslaw pujanekfor a cello Chiara samatangafor flute under the Stéphane Retyfor clarinet under Fabian dIRRfor oboe/English horn under the Clement Noelfor a French horn under the Kostas Siskos and finally for kinetics of a musician of musicians under Elodie merlaud.
Active participants will enjoy an intensive course program that includes Daily warm -up, individual courses and group sessionswhile they will have the opportunity to give concerts to the historical environment of Anargiriou and Korgialeniou School of Spetses And to explore the natural beauty of Spetses, experiencing an unforgettable music and cultural experience.
The International Music Academy of Anargiriou and Korgialenio School of Spetses (MAAKS) is committed to reinforcing its relationship with the local community, offering an innovative music and academic program that enriching the island’s cultural life.
The courses are held at the historical Anargirio and Korgialenio School (AKS) in Spetses. The island of Spetses is just 179 km from Athens and is easily accessible by bus or ferry with a dolphin from the port of Piraeus (about 2.5 hours). The unique facilities of AKS They offer an ideal environment for a music academy. Private cars on the island are not allowed within the city boundaries. The most common ways of transportation are walking, wagons, bicycles and motorcycles. The island is covered by pine trees and famous for its clear waters. The inaugural concert of renowned teachers will take place on Saturday 26 July 2025
Active participants will have the opportunity to appear in a series of public concerts during the Academy, sharing their experiences with the wider audience of Spetses.
The Maakss CMO chamber music orchestra will appear in the School’s Open Amphitheater.
The active participants will be accompanied by rehearsals and concerts by the official Master Classes pianists.
The active participants will be hosted in Anargirio and Korgialenio Spetses School, in double or single rooms with half board.
Active participants:
790 € with a shared bathroom
890 € with a private bathroom
Includes courses tuition, piano accompaniment, accommodation, half board and a non -refundable € 200 registration fee.
Banking costs are borne by the client (participant in the masterclasses) and must be paid in addition to the registration cost.
Applications will be accepted by 31 May 2025.
The number of active participants is set at eight for each Master Class.
Applications are submitted to the Academy’s website www.maakss.com/admissions. After completing and sending the online form, the Academy will contact the participants. To complete the registration will also require a video recording (without restriction during it).
