Services in the new clinic building have been provided since September. There are two specialized halls (hand and gait functions) with robotic therapy equipment. After sixteen days of rehabilitation, the mother said she noticed the obvious results: her son’s right hand, communication, and became calmer. « Tom is very fond of walking, hand function with the help of robots. Likes playing computer games with a specially applied mouse – so he develops his hand, » she noted.

In the next hall, four Milita, diagnosed with cerebral palsy, learns to walk with a complex robot. Special belts and holders are fixed on Milita’s legs, at the waist, holding shoulders, and a girl whose attention is caught by a screen with changing images.

« Three years ago, doctors said that the daughter would not go away at all, but here’s the obvious fact that everything is possible. When you reach it. It is obviously a lot of hard work, » Milita’s dad said it still needs a lot of work to do better daughter’s results. He confessed to rehabilitation for his daughter, looking abroad, where similar simulators are used, and he was very happy when it comes to getting all this for free in Kaunas. « We have a lot of hope in these modern technology. We see that it is useful, we observe the progress of the daughter, » he added.

For children of all Lithuania

The new rehabilitation clinic services are provided for children from all over Lithuania. About 300 children can be treated a year in the new building, and up to 3 thousand more outpatient services and daily inpatient services are available. small patients.

Previously, Kaunas Clinic Children’s Rehabilitation Clinic was operating in Kindergarten Street in Vilijampolė. Now the new building on Eivenių Street has become the center of the clinic, but services for children with autism will continue to be provided in Vilijampolė.
