Intense search for Maddie McCann: The main suspect for the disappearance of the girl gave creepy the Interj
Christian Brückner, the main suspect for the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, gave his first interview as the authorities launch a new search for her remains in Praia da Luz, Portugal. Brückner, who is currently serving a prison sentence for raping an older woman in 2005, continues to deny any involvement in Madeleine’s disappearance in 2007. German prosecutors, however, believe that Brückner was killed by Maddie and urgently collects evidence before his release, planned for September this year.
In an interview with German RTL, Brückner stated that he did not kill Madeleine and repeated his innocence regarding the 2005 rape charges. He emphasized that he has been in prison for years because of something he has not done, and considers him the whole world a cruel rapist.
« As I have told you before, the most important thing for me is that I have been in prison for years because of something I just couldn’t do, and the whole world thinks I am a cruel rapist, » he said.
He also expressed his desire to escape from Europe after leaving prison, mentioning the possibility of moving to the country without contract with German or the UK, and changes in appearance to avoid recognition.
He also said that when he went out, he was most looking forward to a good steak and beer.
A recent search in Praia that Luz uses radar technology that can scan up to 4.5 meters below the ground, focusing on the area around Ocean Club and the cottage that Brückner used. Investigators suspect that the body of a girl or her pajamas may be thrown somewhere in the area. Previous examinations did not give significant results, but new technology can allow deeper terrain test.
Brückner is known for its obsession with children, which is confirmed by findings in its abandoned shelter, including children’s clothing, toys, masks, chemicals and weapons. Although not officially accused of Madeleine’s disappearance, his behavior and past crimes leave a strong doubt about his involvement in this case
